Elaine’s Café uses the information you provide to prepare and manage pickup orders, process payments through Square, respond to order questions, and protect the website against misuse.
Information we use
For an order, we request your name, email, phone number, selected products, requested pickup date, and acceptance of the cancellation/refund policy. For order-help requests, we request your name, email, order reference, request type and message. Please do not include card numbers, passwords or sensitive personal details in messages.
Cloudflare hosts the website and processes technical request information, including IP addresses, for delivery, security and troubleshooting. The browser keeps your shopping bag and checkout reference in session storage. An essential secure cookie identifies your checkout session and expires after two days. These are used for shopping and checkout, rather than advertising.
Service providers
Square provides the hosted checkout, payment processing, order records and receipts. Card and wallet payment details are entered in Square’s interface; this storefront does not collect or store card numbers. Formspree processes order-help messages and delivers notifications to Elaine’s Café’s private inbox. Google Fonts supplies the website fonts and receives the technical information associated with loading those resources. Each provider also describes its processing in its own privacy notice.
This storefront currently contains no advertising or analytics tracking scripts. Elaine’s Café does not use the information collected through these website forms to sell personal information or send marketing messages.
Storage and retention
The storefront removes the full temporary order payload after Square creates the checkout link. It retains a limited checkout status record for confirmation and troubleshooting, with automatic removal seven days after a canceled checkout or seven days after the pickup window for a paid order. Unresolved checkouts may be retained while payment status is being reconciled. Square’s order, payment and accounting records are separate from these temporary storefront records. Messages and inbox copies are held by Formspree and Elaine’s Café under their respective settings and applicable business-record obligations. These providers’ records are not automatically erased when the storefront clears a checkout record.
Questions and requests
Use the order-help form for a privacy question or access/correction/deletion request; enter “PRIVACY” in the order-reference field if you have no order reference. Elaine’s Café may need to verify your identity and retain records required for accounting, disputes or legal obligations. Account email and phone numbers are not published on this website.
